  • About The Role

  • We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicated maintenance team. In this key role, you will help ensure that our school site remains safe, well-maintained, and presented to the highest possible standard.

Working under the direction of the Maintenance Co‑ordinator, you will carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks as requested, both through direct instruction and via the school’s online ticketing system.

This is a varied and hands-on position involving all aspects of carpentry and general site maintenance. You will also support other members of the team when required, report any defects or damage identified during your work, and ensure that all tools and equipment are used and maintained safely. A high standard of workmanship and attention to detail are essential.

Applicants should have proven experience across a range of maintenance skills—particularly carpentry—and ideally hold a relevant qualification such as a City & Guilds or NVQ. The role may occasionally require work outside normal hours, including some weekends, to support school events or respond to urgent issues.

Working hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

Please refer to the attached document for the full job description and person specification.

Closing date: Monday 23rd February 2026
